We went to a wild cat park in Oregon which was closed due to filming, but as filming was cancelled for the day, one of my aunts talked them into letting my family in.
They had a white tiger, two orange ones, snow leopards, black leopards, jaguars, cougars, lions and more. The lion was such a diva - while we were walking around he was pacing and roaring, but once we approached he went to the back of his cage, sat and stared at us as if saying "I shall tolerate your prescence, but I will not perform". Of course, once we left, he started pacing and roaring again. The lioness had no such deal - she jumped the cage with controlled roars, waiting for the handler to give her a treat.
So that was awesome. And of course, it snowed that morning. I'm having orgasms about the weather, I know.
Friday-Saturday was awesome. Made a lot of amazingly creative new friends, the dtp crew as usual were golden, and despite the hard work (you have no idea...), it was a hell of a lot of fun. Amber and Nav were amazing for helping out last week and putting up with my freakings out and brief bout of psychosis after staying awake Monday to Friday in order to get everything done (I asked Amber to plug a chair into the extension lead), those guys rock!!!
Gonna go see two of my favourite bands, Bon Iver and Gotye, on two consecutive nights in two different European capitals in two weeks time. TWO IS A MAGNIFICENT NUMBER. So excited.
Welp, I can safely say that was a strange and significant day... Two conversations that will have some interesting ripples, whatever happens from here. I'm not sure you could call it a turning point just yet, but for now, clarity. Feels good, man.
