Hell my 7 string is strung with a .75 right now and if you listened to my Perpetual Black Second cover, you heard that fucker in E while still holding half decent tension...

For G? 70 would be nice...I used a 70 once on a 6 string and was a little overwhelmed by it.

But this 8 I'm getting comes with I believe a .74 as the low F#
