A lot of the songs could have easily, EASILY, been new Fear Factory stuff.

That's coz it WAS new FF stuff....

I know I know...I kind of wish it was that, Jon's vocals on it sound very generic =/ I love Threat Signal (awesome guys, btw) but dammit, he just sounds generic to me. Burton would have done better.

Yeah, what I've heard from Arkaea isn't turning me on at all. MUCH prefering the coupla tracks I've heard from the new Divine Heresy. Will definitely be getting that album when it comes out.

Everything I've heard from Divine Heresy sounds like a lot of Trem picked eh-metal. I'm so tired of hearing a lot of tremolo picking in metal and death metal. I guess it became "brutal" at some point and never died off. That's why I've been into bands like Born of Osiris and Veil of Maya lately, they actually have interesting riffs instead of OH MAH GAWDS BR00TL TREM PICKIN AND DOUBLA BASS!1

Arkaea's cd definitely has its tracks. The middle of the album gets stale then picks up again. I like it, but again the vocals sound very generic =/

I don't even know what 'Trem picking' is, but DH sounds pretty damn awesome to me...

Why purchase if you know it is going to suck just by seeing what band it is? I don't understand how anybody these days can buy any album they eventually don't like when the internet is readily available with Myspace and illegal downloads.

A genre like death metal isn't going to find a band releasing a single that is different from the rest of the album just to suck in buyers. You hear one song and know what to expect from the rest of the album.

I acutally ddn't mind this album at all even though it is slightly different from the other death metal acts i listen to. Hypocrisy, Death, Nile, etc.

I thought it was far better than Genesis. They are starting to come into their own, will it take 3 albums for them to get a sound that's really their own...lets hope.

Thought the new album was quite bland as compared to Genesis, and even DOOM. But that's just me.
