Tim Bowness' voice is quite seductive - and as much as I love Steven's voice, I think that for No-Man, Bowness' singing is very appropriate *swoon* I love this CD, were it not for you Islands - I wouldn't have thought to buy it, mostly because I didn't know about it. Thanks!
Welcome. But you would've probably eventually found out about it after certain research. No-Man's gone in a different direction since then, and while it still sounds good, I wish Steven was... I don't know, "humble" enough to just make basic romantic music still. Maybe as a separate project.
Pick up any other project by Tim Bowness or Peter Chilvers/Theo Travis (Who also do work in No-Man) from burningshed. Theo Travis plays phenomenal flute and saxophone, and Peter Chilvers is an incredible piano and chapman stick player. I'll upload some tracks for you, but you can get some Peter Chilvers here free (Free albums, digital download only): http://www.peterchilvers.com/downloads.php
Edit: Got em.
Tim Bowness/Peter Chilvers
Theo Travis
Got one more coming with Bowness and Barbieri later. When I feel like it.
I set up a romantic evening with my ex last year on a warm summer night where I made a salmon and vegetable dinner with some Pinot Noir and candles and shit, soft lighting and everything. Loveblows and Lovecries was on repeat the whole time. Definitely had a huge impact on the mood. Very cliche, but in her words "Sometimes a girl wants to be treated like she's in a romance novel".
To which I responded "Then why aren't we having sex yet?"
What word describes the practice of being married to only one woman at a time? Mono-something... Ah! Monotony!
