Why'd you ditch the 5th string?

Can't play as well as I wanted.
The neck is just too wide.
I love that bass, playing with it is so much fun, but when you suffer from a
problem like that, it needs to be solved.
I am considering buying one someday just for fun playing, and have the Ibanez for the big playing.
