Maybe im being risky but the old one that died was a Maxtor/Seagate. It did last for a bit more than 2 years though.

edit : bought some Queens of the Stone Age tickets for Montreal on the 27th of March.

Mine that died was also a Maxtor/Seagate one. It lasted about a year for me.
