And if money is a consideration.... Ibanez SZ320MH, take the stock pickups out and put EMGs in. I got a SZ 320 and it's a very decent guitar, great value for money...

I most definitely didn't say that! Guitar's more important than amp, that's why I have more guitars than amps. A telecaster with singlecoils will never sound like a Les Paul, even if you slab loads of gain onto it

TOM needs neck angle, unless you recess it or get a bit different bridge which I would not see any problem with.
