I like it a lot. It feels really massive and the playability is excellent. Been really into finger picking lately :)

I've got the btb556 (signed by Alain Caron himself 8) ), and I LOVE that bass, playing adgcfa# with elixir strings, and I really love the sounds, look, easiness to play, everything :p

Om nom nom. The bastard is expensive, though.

I tried both the cheap and expensive models, and they are AMAZING
I mean, the cheap one has a fucking sweet sound and is so easy to play (and is beautiful too), the expensive sur has a better sound though, but one day I'll make the cheap mine
I'm kind of an ibanez fanboy though ... their accoustic are cheap and sound great, the ATK models are awesome for their price, I can play anything on my btb, the gary willis are awesome ...

Even though my dream basses are Warwick and Fbass  (the corvette $$ 5strings is quite cheap (... well, there sure is cheaper, but not as good as that one) and has a wonderful/powerful/growling sound, think it'll be the first thing I'll buy once I get a job)

Hey...
Some really nice basses here!
My bass is from a brazilian trademark CONDOR. The model is Condor BC-6000pro.
It's kinda close from Ibanez SR506. 3 EQ, Master, Blend, neckthrough.

I'll make some upgrades on it, like changing the pick ups and putting some Gotoh on the headsotck... =]

btw, first post... if anybody wants to add for a chat, go on!

A bit of my collection
Fender American Deluxe Precision 5 string bass
LTD F204 4 string bass
Schecter Stilleto Studio 5 string Bass

Amp wise:
Mesa Boogie Big Block 750
Carvin RLT410 Cab

The cab used to compliment my Carvin R1000 head, but i sold it, it was kinda stale, very dry, not a lot of dynamics going on.

Here's a few pics

Are those nunchucks? In case the guitars get attacked in a break-in, they can defend themselves? :)

I was just given my friend's old Samick Corsair 4-string, and now I'm selling my $700 active bubinga 5-string. It just doesn't compare. Wrong feel for me I guess, but the cheap little Corsair just feels so much more natural in my hands.

Greetings, fellow bassists 8)

I've got 2 basses:

- Giannini (brazilian brand) 4 string "Jazz Bass" model from the 90's. Passive, black body, EMG/Select pickups, turned into fretless w/ a "Purple Heart" (traditional brazillian wood) custom-made scale, and white inlays. Sounds beautiful, looks great with the slightly purple scale.

- Recently bought Cort Curbow 5 string bass. Active, crazy golden-painted body, Bartolini pickup and a BADASS sound, from smooth to heavy, good choice if you are into different styles and bands.

Also bought a Digitech BNX 3 bass workstation. Lots of cool effects, amp modeling, whammy, distortion, bass loop, 8-track recorder, really nice unit. Could be less noisy though...

And take a look @edusimoes' musical projects...hyper talented producer, musician and bass brother! Bem-vindo, champz!

I picked up the bass a few months back under the inspiration of such bassists as Mariusz Duda, Geddy Lee and Chris Squire. It seems so natural, so flowing to me. However, I can't compose on it for the life of me, so I go back to the guitar, TRY (and I mean TRY as in take multiple dumps in my pants (not literally)) to write, but alas...nothing.

I think I'm just going to focus on my bass playing for now, then go back to songwriting on the guitar later.
