I don't think this one has been done before...

Steve Morse - Southern Steel
Jeff Beck - Behind The Veil
George Lynch - Mr Scary
Steve Vai - I Would Love To (although pretty much anything from that album)
Joe Satriani - Time

I'm sure more will come to me.

There are vocals in Delirium Cordia.

I've been listening to lots of Dysrhythmia lately, those guys are insanely talented at writing instrumentals that keep your attention. Same with Pelican, I've been listening to a lot of Australasia.

Fine choice!

Dysrhythmia - Contradiction, No Interfereance, Pretest
Allan Holdsworth - Road Games (plus others, but that's my absolute favourite)
Gordian Knot - S/T
Syrinx - Reification
Buckethead - Colma
Spastic Ink - Ink Complete
LTE - LTE1/2
Cynic - Textures

Pagan's Mind - Back To The Magic Of Childhood, pts 1 & 2
Vai - Tender Surrender, Windows To The Soul, Juice, Die To Live, Dyin' Day, Warm Regards, The Reaper, Essence

hmm... no, I'm not a Vai fan
