sequenced drums

Apologies in advance to all drummers. I have no disrespect for drummers at all.

One of my bands has no drummer, we sequence all the drums ourselves then play to a track live that also has synth and samples and shit like that. Like I said, I don't dislike drummers (except Tommy Lee, that guy's a dick) and my other 2 bands feature an actual real life drummer!! But yeah, I'm looking for some decent VSTs/samples and general advice on how to make drums sound as amazing as my farts.

Currently I'm using a few programs like groove agent 2, lm4, battery and EZ drummer. I have drum kit from hell 2 as well but not as much ram as I would like.

And before anyone suggests we just get a drummer, NO unless he or she has at least 10 arms and can play at least 480bpm.

drum kit from hell 2 is lush if you can figure out how to use it. I'm not so keen on lm4, lm7 is better in my opinion. it comes packed with cubase sx2. never tried ez drummer. have a bash at lm7. the compressor mode it in has some real nice cymbal work, and if you copy and paste two of the same drum samples on top of each other you get one fierce drum kit, disadvantage to that point is just that it doesn't like to carry on the cymbals, but then again, I always design my drums in midi first and then input them into cubase so I just deleted the cymbals in the second layer to stop them from detracting from the sound

what program do you use to "design" the drum patterns?

drumkit from hell is just a collection of samples, is this right?

What do you actually make the arrangements in?
I use a program called orion but my friend is trying to get me to use cubase now and i am having trouble programming my drums in their because i find the whole pianoroll/pencil thing for drums tedious.

soooo what do you use?

Drumkit from Hell/Multi Format = just .wav samples and some maps for Battery and a few others
Drumkit from Hell Superior = MIDI-triggered proprietary sampler
Drumkit from Hell 2 = a bit like a demo version of DFH Superior. Very few drums, and since it doesn't use TPC, it uses a truckload of RAM (850 MB!)
EZDrummer = a completely different drumkit, drummer and studio. Much better cymbals and toms than any DFH version. A little limited in drum sounds though, not many different drums/cymbals are sampled.

Drumkit from hell has all the samples but when you use it in a sequencer ie. FL6 or Ableton you can specify what drums you want as well as velocity and shit like that.

Get used to the piano roll, once you get the hang of it its awesome.

Anyone want to hear some of the new shit I've been doing?

Some of our initial basic shit is on our myspace, our first song was 'ninja kick flip' but there really isn't much to that song. If I can get some webspace I'll post up my other shit, we have about 12-13 songs and the new stuff is getting very interesting.

For now our myspace is http://www.myspace.com/throneofthebloodninja

We wear full ninja uniforms on stage too its great fun. We have a split EP with Cuntworm (from the US) in the works, Cuntworm is very interesting electronic black metal/industrial.

If anyone digs it I can email better tracks than the ones on myspace.
