Try to get the Ziltoid guitar sound...

Hi guys, just wondering if any of you know what kind of Pod Devin used for Ziltoid?
I think he once posted up the settings he used to this sound but I can't find it.

Search his posts, but I'm pretty sure it was an XT Live.

He said something about the Treadplate model with the same cab, close miced.
Remember though, he was rockin EMGs in his 7string, so there's a chance you wont get the same tone.

Aw man I need to fiddle around with my Pod more, I just found out the cab/mic edit button
Which one is the "close" one? I'm using the dynamic and on axis ones mostly.

On the POD XT and X3 models there is an option usually called "room". That's how close you want the mic.

Ok, so if I get the Tread-plate pack. Use the room setting for the mike. Guitar with EMG's... our other guitarist has 2 guitars with EMG's. Not 7 string but we play reasonably low... usually in B. I know it's nowhere as low as the Ziltoid tuning but I'm sure it should sound pretty heavy.
