Recommended string guage for open b?

Okay so I got 3 sets of d'addario light top heavy bottom 10-52's strings to restring my Strat soon. I've just started to explore open b and I'm not sure if the average 10-52 is good enough for this tuning, in particular the low strings of course. Disruptr has finally sucked me into that tuning :) .

Any suggestions?

On a 25.5"? I have a 24.75", 10-52 is okay until you get to the 6th, but I'm not sure I've tried that on my other 25.5" guitar. I find 12-54 too tight for me to be honest. Try out some 11-54s.

D'Addario do a nice set of 11-56 gauge, i use them myself when i cant get Elixers, I tune to Drop-C and open/Drop B and they suit fine! Also i find when buying strings if ya have any doubts, usually they shop can help ya out! :guitar:

Thicker is better. Well, it's a matter of taste, but to me, thicker strings sound clearer and heavier. The playability is also improved. Thinner strings are just too floppy.

I'm currently using D'Addario 13-62 on a 25.5" scale in BEADF#B

Thanks for the advice people, I'll make sure to check these string suggestions out in the near future when ordering. I do agree with the "thicker" perception on strings/guitar playability. It did make some difference last time I had thick guage strings on my guitars. I've still got an Ernie Ball Not Evens 12-56 set still waiting to restring on the Schecter Hellraiser.

Funny, I had a dream last night grabbing 13-62 strings on the Eiffel Tower.. :?
