Bass on "Coast"

I'm trying to cover "Coast" with some friends of mine. We are 2 guitarists and a drummer. One of the guitarists would play the bass but since we havo no real plan about playin the bass, we have no clue about what to play
I tried to keep it simple and just to play alog to the bassdrum but it has no groove in it. Although the production ist really great, the bass sounds very intransparent. I just cannot hear what it ist playing there (exapt the part from 2:26)
Maybe someone here has an idea and posts a tab or even records a riff for me...
