First off, sorry for the self promotion but the record is very guitar oriented instru-metal, so it might be something for members here.

No, you're not. You came here and expressly made a login just so you could promote your music. Don't be apologetic; it's disingenuous. Try adding something to the board about your opinions on Dev-related things, yeah? That'd be the polite thing to do.

so you're calling me disingenuous and one sentence later you ask me to just post something because i'm here. wtf? i'm a devy fan and i have personal music so i posted it into the hevydevy fan base personal music area of the forum. that's all i have to say. but yeah i can add the 1000th "addiciton is so great" comment just because i need to post something. well...no. i consider myself a devy fan bc i have every single cd he released and not because i post pointless crap on his board.

if you want ppl to become forum regulars when posting to this board you maybe should have made that clear in the rules. haven't seen that. if i don't have anything important to say, i don't see a point in sharing it.

and before teaching others how to be polite, you maybe should refresh yourself on that topic first. my 2 cents...

I don't have to explain myself to you. When I posted, you had 2 posts. BOTH only dealing with your music. That, my friend, smacks of spam. What I was trying to do was alert you to this fact. I call things as I see them, and I'm too old to be bothered with people getting pissy about it. If you want to contribute, you will. Or won't. Time will tell. But don't think for a second I won't call things out as I see them. I could be right, I could be wrong. That's the great thing about being human; you get to find out which and do something about it, should you choose to.

I get your point and I don't disagree. However, I think your first post just came over too harsh, for my taste at least, but that's maybe just me.
