Here's a better shot of Oliver.

This is my DOOM shot . . . mostly because it really reminds me of the photos in the booklet of Cathedral's first album.

My wife took a rather nice series of photos of Gus and Annabelle sitting on the windowsill in better times. They're all quite lovely, but I'm partial to this one for some reason.

This is back in the day when Annabelle's aggressiveness was cute. Now she's getting out of hand. The girl needs to be the center of attention and in a 4 cat household headed by newlyweds who work crazy hours, she's not.
My best friend and bodyguard:
Alfredo!
(too bad we don't have enough place for a real one)

Martha's got this thing for carrot peels. She knows one of them somewhere is yummy and keeps stealing them from cutting boards to find it. Mind you, she's never succeeded in finding it and gets a bit miffed about the whole thing.

Oh and anyone in the MA/RI area... it makes me feel like a huge jerkoff but we're always looking for a good home for Annabelle. She needs the kind of stable environment you just don't find with newlyweds. Every behavior problem we've had relates to some major schedule/setting change. Unfortunately, every lonely older person I know is liable to be dead by September or living with someone deathly allergic.

Is it true that Huskies are very destructive and tend to run/dig away, making it very difficult to leave them alone/let them off the lead?

Ours isn't, but maybe he's a special case. He's generally calm (but loves to play). He isn't much of a digger, but likes to kick up grass after he pees. He won't run away, he goes with me to the car to greet my wife and baby when they get home. Go figure. He's a wonderful, happy, funny dog, full of personality.
But from what I understand - yes, many huskies will bolt the second that they have the chance. They love to escape and dig and run. It all depends on the dog though. If you're thinking of getting one, talk to people who know Huskies the best - rescues! They are foster parents for many Huskies, in addition to usually having a couple of their own. We got Simba from http://www.siberescue.com .
There is a good description of the breed's characteristics here: http://www.siberescue.com/Breed_Info/br ... oindex.htm
Hope that helps!
