Hey Tracy,
any plans for Ziltoid-merchandise? I think it would be unrealistic to hope for pruchasable puppets - but do you in general see a market for Ziltoid merch such as clothing besides the Devy hardcore-fans?

There will be but we are unsure yet what form it will take.
No puppets, they would cost you zillions of dollars a piece.

Yeah, I already expected such puppets to be waaay too expensive. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the first pictures and videos of Ziltoid and I guess I'll just let you surprise me with whatever merch you'll come up

I think one t-shirt is a good idea. A coffee cup makes sense in light of the concept, but how many outside of us hardcore fans would buy a coffee mug?

How many, outside of us hardcore fans, are going to buy the album? It's going to be on Inside Out and HDR. How many copies did Synchetra sell?
Y'know, I'll buy two coffee cups, a t-shirt, and a toothbrush.

There is very little chance of getting sales figures here. As for the selling of the Ziltoid album...people are always saying, "It won't sell outside of the hardcore fans", and yet there seems to be more and more fans with each album. Either way, I'm going to purchase it when it comes out.

I wasn't asking for the sales figures, I was being rhetorical. I was trying to suggest that Ziltoid would sell about as many copies as Synchestra. Could be more, I suppose.

As soon as I get the needed money together I will "rape" the HDR merch "clean"....and I'm coffee addicted......I could philosophy with Ziltoid about the coffee of the world. Maybe he can provide some 4th dimensional brew?!

I would take great pride in my Ziltoid coffee mug. Cafepress do that sort of thing...maybe if HDR themselves dont stock such things themselves, they can set up a store there.

Aaah yes, of course! I was forgetting that HDR sells album specific stuff through that. It would rock if there was a Ziltoid section!
