Officially booked Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide. I'm scared.

I'm actually pretty jealous.

Haha. Man, this is the kind of thing that would normally make me jealous of other people. I've taken two weeks off work for it...
The people at work (old and fragile people) asked me who I was going to see... I was at my desk, and googled townsends name... They were mortified by the initial images that came up of devy rocking out full-tilt with his skullet. I showed them how he looks now in one of the addicted promo pics and they immediately were more interested in hearing his music.

Anyway... I've never really caught a plain or gone interstate before, so I'm a little bit terrified. Can't wait to rock out.

I used to live in Perth and flew out of state a coule of times to see bands... It was awesome.

Also flew to Sweden to see The Hellacopters last year... that was totally rad.

The only bit about flying for me is taking off and landing, but if you tend towards claustrophobia the cabin experience can be disconcerting.

Seems like heaps of folks are doing Melbourne, Brisbane Sydney and Adelaide, or some combination so by Melb and Adelaide there will be some familar faces I imagine.

I'll be the bald guy in the Devin Townsend shirt.

i reckon that Rockwiz is heaps better than Spicks and Specks. If he did appear on one id prefer that one, plus he'd have to do a tune at the start and the end. However, im not sure that either show will be recording when he tours..
I am so stoked for these gigs

I have time for both... Rockwiz is definitely more "rock" and has that great feel that comes from the live performances and being filmed at the Espy, whereas Spicks goes for the family audience. I do know I'd rather have a beer with Julia Zemiro than Adam Hills...

I believe Rockwiz would be better suited to Dev's metal wizardry, but as mineralinsulated pointed out it would all depend on the recording of the show to coincide with Dev touring.

Since we're promoting the tour I'll see what I can do by sending out some e-mails and making some phone calls. I highly doubt will get a response, but there is no harm in trying.
