You along with the rest of us... Excellent that it's coming along fast and furious, Dev. Masturbation, ho!

Wait, why is this? Because you don't have to teach the parts to the other players? Or because you can play the parts better yourself anyway?

"The surprising wall of SYL sound is on Alien again extremely competent built from out granite chopped cram, that have been piled up with melodious cement on each other."

Looping green and blue, and you will go letting yourself certainly the meal once again through the head. But after the departure, you feel free and happily like after your first orgasm - and you will beg for addition. - German review of SYL's "Alien"
This sounds like a really interesting project. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm guessing, only guess, so I could just f*ck off instead, that the reason it goes faster is because Dev can play and record the ideas as fast as they come. Also, he isn't collaborating so he doesn't have to take into account how someone else wants to do it.
I know Dev can play geeetar and I imagine he can play bass. Practically every good musician can play keyboards and we know he can program electronic music and samples. I'm wondering, though... what about drums? My understanding is that drums are usually recorded first. How are the drums being done? Are they electronic? Drum machine? What phase is this project in? Is it like Devlab or Hummer in that it's all being done by Devin? Or, is Devin just laying down demos that will be re-recorded later?
Anyway, Dev, if you feel like answering, cool. Otherwise, ignore my post and keep working on that bitchen new album.
And, of course, play with the baby. (As I type, my kids are playing around me in the living room.)

He's using the "Drumkit From Hell" program to do the drums, and yes, The Mighty Masturbator is indeed a "solo" effort!

What, I gotta wait for ANOTHER album now?!! (Hummer ordered but not in the mail yet)
And my ears have barely recovered from the TNB!
DFH (superior) is da shite, although it will make us drummers unemployed, sort of.
I'd love to hear what Dev can tweak out of it.

I guess you all remember that interview prior to the baby-break where Devin was talking about his future work. He was mentionning "to redo Infinity properly this time".
Considering that Infinity was made alone (except for Gene's help on drums) and that it was the meeting of "City" and "Ocean Machine", then maybe TMM is the new Infinity, eventhough it will probably be completely different (maybe he could rename it "The Infinite Masturbation"
).
I hope the title will make it, just imagine yourself entering your favorite CD shop and saying "Hi, i'm looking for The Mighty Masturbator please".
