The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

Well, fellow Aussies, I'll be traversing the 3 eastern states for the first time ever for Dev's tour, but I'll be doing it all alone because none of my loser friends like any heavy music. I have two major questions: Is it cheapest to fly? and what should I do about accommodation? Oh, and a third: anyone want to make a new friend to go interstate-travelling with? :P

Nah that's ok man. It's not that I don't believe you, it's just come Friday I hope Ticketek have some info on Devy showing on their website... I guess, not a biggie cos I can prolly buy directly from Billboard's (Melb venue) site or the Mosh Tix site they are affiliated with.

EDIT: I've been told that generally speaking, Ticketek deals with Sydney and Ticketmaster deals with Melbourne. This was true of Faith No More's recent ticket sales for their tour in Feb.

I'd most definitely fly mate. Would work out way cheaper and if you drive Melbourne-Sydney-Brisbane you'll spend about 30 hours in a car, as opposed to about 4 hours in a plane! Stay in cheap 70 buck a night Hotels, unless you've got friends to stay with....

Whatever the press release says is true mate, I got a copy straight from the promoter. Most of the time, the ticketing agencies don't add details about metal gigs until the day it goes on sale.

Given that the three gigs on Ticketek are Brisbane, Sydney Melbourne in three days, I'd say the only option is to fly!

Edit: you could definitely do Sydney and Melbourne by driving or train/bus, but the Brisbane to Sydney trip takes a fair while. Loss of sanity due to sleep deprivation and possible major speeding fines or loss of licence might put a dampener on things.

Unless your car is on Gas, id say its cheapest to Fly, and not spend nights anywhere, just go straight back out asap, :P on the next day, and if there is a gap between shows, stay at a formula 1 hotel as they are cheap as.

Im thinking about doing east coast, but really, dont know if ill have money.

Hey all,

I have booked flights for Sydney, Bris Vegas and Badelaide, live in Melbourne. I really hope I get tickets to the shows.

I got return from Badelaide for $62 on Tiger.

Also,

I am aiming to only need one night in a hotel, probably Sydney, and spemd the rest of my time on planes. Only getting a hotel in Sydney so I can have a shower.

Closer to date if anyone has anything planned to hang out before or after shows I would totally be up for it.

Bring on Friday.

Damn! That's pretty cheap. I might go through Tiger instead of Jetstar. I'll book my flight next week.
