Hey all.
Just saw on Twitter/Facebook this morning that Devin is coming to Australia for SoundWave Revolution 2011.
Some new Soundwave spinoff from the looks, with a bunch of bands I've never heard of. But that may just be saying something about me! Looks like it's 24 September and not sure if it's touring or just Sydney.
If anyone has any more info, please post!

Yeah, saw this posted last night.
Apart from Devin, none of the other bands lined up for Soundwave Revolution excite me that much (in fact...95% of them I've never bloody heard of!).
Fingers crossed for sideshows! (Also, I hope this isn't just restricted to one capital city).

I somehow doubt he'd go all that way without doing a little tour as well as the festival appearance... Eyes on the Tour page for ye, I guess!

This made my night when I saw this - but then I realised it was for Soundwave, and not an Australian/NZ tour.
I wonder (/ HOPE!!!) DTP make it to NZ again, I (and many other Kiwis) probably won't be able to make it to Oz to sit through a whole pile of bands they've never heard of waiting to see DTP.

Soundwave... maybe...
I might even be in Cambodia then, so we'll see. But it's cool to see him back so soon!

Yep, fingers and toes crossed for solo shows! Really not keen to travel to Sydney or Melbourne for Soundwave (unless the completely unlikely RATM story turns out to somehow be true).

Yeah agreed, reeally excited to have Dev tour here again since I have yet to see him live, but if the Revolution doesn't tour, my chances of going are very, very slim. I just went to Brisbane in Feb for the actual Soundwave festival but in no other city bar Perth (but that's too far) do I know anyone, and I don't have anyone to come with me...also I'm hoping to be living in Brisbane by then so that would be really handy

I would prefer a Devin-only show but I'll take what I can get. Woohoo!!!

^Same, because it's also a festival, who knows if he'll get to play the same timeframe as a regular show. I'm hoping for a sideshow (maybe a "secret" acoustic one as well), that would be nice.

I will be mighty upset if he isn't able to come to NZ when he's in Australia for this. I'll understand, of course - I mean what the fuck do I know about how these things work, but I'll be disappoint regardless. ಠ_ಠ

Not sure if he was ever a "fan," but I'm sure he has enjoyed some of their stuff. He has used, and still uses some of the EVH gear. He used to use the 5150 amps, and he has used a VH Ernie Ball Music Man guitar for recording. He uses an EVH phase pedal now, too.
Then there is this:
