Well, he's home in a few days; if you order from HevyDevy Records and ask for it to be signed, he'll do it for you

When you order from the HevyDevy site, there is a box for "special instructions," or something like that. Feel free to use it, but don't be disappointed too much if it doesn't happen. Dev seems to be in and out of the house quite a bit lately, so you have to time it juuuust right.

Yeah, I was holding out for the signed copies of Decon and Ghost. I'm not sure I'd feel right requesting 'special instructions', but then there's the problem of if you order and they aren't signed...and then later he advertises the signed copies. I'm still listening to the shitty leaks.

But then things would be fine if he signed the boxset, which may include Decon and Ghost. Double

Why don't you feel right about requesting special instructions? It's Mr and Mrs T's job, they don't mind as long as you don't mind waiting till he's home!
Last time I ordered from them was for my friend's birthday, I wrote "Could you please sign it for Mika...and maybe doodle something a teeny weeny bit rude? Thanks!"
6 days later I got-

Bless 'em

It's just the fact that it's more hassle and work for them that I'm not paying extra for. Devin seems very overworked as is and although he mostly likely would oblige I wouldn't feel right adding to the workload for free, however small.

It's only a scribble on a CD! He'll be more than happy to!

Dev isn't getting hundreds of these type of requests a day or anything from the store. Probably just a few a week, as I'm sure many people who order from the store don't even think to ask. I didn't when I first ordered from there. I didn't even notice this was possible until after I ordered practically everything. lol

Besides, the times I've seen him he usually asks if you want anything signed/photos first before you ask

But yeah, he's not gonna think "SOMEONE WANTS TO EXCHANGE TENDER FOR A RECORD OF MY DITTIES AAAAND TO FURTHER THEIR APPRECIATION WANTS ME TO SCRAWL MY NAME ON IT? WHAT A SHIT! I SHALL SEND THEM A BAG OF MY OWN TOENAIL CLIPPINGS MIXED WITH DOG SICK."

Many thanks guys!! Given that it's the 8th month of the year I think I'll wait to see what's in the boxset and may consider in future of putting in the request box, 'If it's possible and not much hassle I'd be really delighted if Devin could sign the CD. No worries if not'. I think this maybe the best approach.

The boxset won't be until next year, if you wanna wait for it then cool! Dev's fine with signing stuff, just as long as you're a wee bit patient (Like, DTP are flying home today, don't expect him to sign a CD today). If you wanna wait till you see him then go for it, he's always very enthusiastic about his fans C: (Unfortunately he'll sacrifice sleep in order to make sure everyone's had their turn, bless him)
Also...I cannot for the life of me stop looking at your avatar.

Daaamn! Not sure I could wait that long for the boxset. Choices, choices.
The avatar is from an old french silent movie, a comedy no doubt. I think the mask was extremely good for the time. Here's the short film for anyone curious;
