Hi Guy's,

Long time Dev fan but new member here. :D

I've just received this from Ticketweb:

Devin Townsend – ULU

Dear TicketWeb customer,

This is an important email from TicketWeb regarding your booking for the Devin Townsend event at ULU on 11 November 2011.

We are sorry to inform you that due to an administration error, the tickets you have purchased should not have been made available for sale and were not part of the allocation of tickets we were instructed to sell on behalf of the venue.

We have looked at alternative tickets to enable you to access this event, but unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions at the venue regarding capacity, this was not possible. We have no alternative other than to cancel and refund in full your ticket purchase.

A full refund including the service fee and order processing fee will be issued to the card used at the time of booking within the next 14 days.

We realise that this may be of disappointment to you and we will be looking to ensure this does not happen again for future events.

If you require any further assistance, please visit our FAQs by clicking on: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/helpdesk.html

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Best Wishes,
TicketWeb Customer Service

I've contacted Ticketweb and they are useless, any of you guy's received anything similar?

I've already got a ticket to the three other shows and I've already spent £125 on a VIP package so buying another isn't an option for me and I'd love to attend all four shows.

Thanks

Sam

Oh no! That really sucks :( The only thing I can suggest in hindsight is to stick with Crowdsurge (the company HevyDevy.com uses). I know it's not very helpful though, but stick around you might find someone needing to get shot of a ticket!

Hey,

Yeah it's really disappointing. I bought the tickets directly through ULU's website as I had no luck with crowdsurge.

I know a couple of dudes who have a spare ticket to that show.

Want me to have a word with them?

Bang tidy! Anyone else thing a ticket exchange subforum would be a good idea? I hate the idea of fans resorting to touts on eBay (Addicted and Decon tickets are currently nearly £50 EACH on there) and just as much I hate people letting tickets go to waste because they can't find takers last minute. All face value, of course. Yay or nay?

This friendly neighborhood moderator thinks it would be a great idea.

I'm down with that. You guys might make up my mind to go to London-- only excuse I've been able to use is that tickets are sold out lol.

But sorry you got shafted dude, that's so fucked.

Oh, definately. I had a spare ticket to the Brighton acoustic show back in august that I couldn't shift, so I ended up just giving it to a bloke outside the venue who had an email confirmation. It would make it tons easier, plus it would likely be a bit more reputable and not extortionately (is this a word?) priced.

We'll have to hop on the legalese and make sure that it's between two individual parties and this is only a venue to contact each other, no sales take place through here nor are we at all responsible for any possible shenanigans. Given that, it may not happen. :|

Well yeah, fucktons of rules will need to be set in place. But basically just a place where people can easily find out if there's someone who can aid them....then continue privately. Obviously all at the user's own risk.

Not just a pretty face aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaye?

Well, as management are based in the UK; I'd say metric.
