Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't see where anyone's talking about the acoustic record (I have to be missing something)! It's so great - it's like our very own personal performance. Does anyone know - was it recorded all in one take??? The songs don't seem to break in-between, and everything (guitar tone, Dev's voice, etc.) seems constant throughout production- and extraneous noise-wise. Also, did he record "live" - I mean playing and singing at the same time - or were there separate tracks recorded for vox and guitar???

It was basically straight through, one day in the booth. I'm pretty sure it was all recorded live.

Is this the "Unplugged" record that is being talked about?

Probably - it's on iTunes under the name "Devin Townsend" only.

http://www.last.fm/music/Devin+Townsend/Unplugged I suppose that's the one. It's nice in my opinion, but I would like more, I mean some other tracks to be played acoustic too.

Funeral is worth the price of admission, imo.

It's lovely, but I prefer In-Ah and Coast

I actually love this little thing - he should do more acoustic albums for sure!

He done some commentary somewhere which implied he was under a lot of pressure to deliver the album i.e. he probably hasn't had time.
