Does Devin keep a list of his guitar gear he uses somewhere? I'm curious how he has such a perfect sound. Even more perfect than his SYL sound.

Peavey 5150, I think he's also used a Mesa Boogie of some description....could be wrong

dev used a dual rect during the opeth tour, even during the fear factory tour

he might have recorded with it too, cuz he fliped some switch on the amp head right b4 vampira

Actually Dev used a Dual Rectifier on the Opeth tour and I used a Mesa Boogie Stilletto. I hope to soon be running a Dual Rectifier with the Stilletto for some massive tone!

The 5150s were good but after I tried a Dual Rectifier there was no going back. Mesa is awesome!

We also recorded Synchestra with the rectifier.

the gp-100 is run as an additonal pre-amp if I am correct even live for all the delays so his sound isn't dry. Kind of like running two amps, really is. Since there is no channel switching live, makes it real easy. Just run um both through a splitter & get a nice lead sound all the time.

Thanks Brent, I use a 5150 too so it's cool to hear my amp on so many great albums of his!
