I'm just wondering if Dev's still planning on releasing this album under the original title, or whether it's been officially shortened to "Deconstruction". I haven't seen any references to "Deconstruction of a Cheeseburger" for quite some time now. Does anyone know this, or can The Dev himself shed some light?

The Cheeseburger is still in the concept, but it's called 'Deconstruction' to avoid it being viewed as a humor piece.

If you put "of a cheeseburger" in brackets and made the cover art a shallow depth of field close up of a Mcdonalds like name badge with five gold stars and the name Devin Townsend on it, it wouldn't be viewed as a humour piece, it'd actual firmly ground the reality of being a musician/artist.
Am I missing the references for cheeseburger here?
Is it about the escalated importance of the life of a musician/artist striving to be?
...you do what you need to do to get by?

On the front of the cd booklet should be the title and artwork, then on the back of the very last page of the booklet should be a big ol' greasy cheeseburger hehe. We would get it at least

Don't get me wrong but it would be better if it's just called Deconstruction (to me at least), jus to follow the "concept" of the albums, i'm in the previous 2 are just one word, and to me they describe the part of the story that they are representing.
Just an opinion.

I think this is very wise of you, Devin!
Also some people still think that Ziltoid is a humor piece...

I'm glad you changed the name. It sounds more serious, and it flows better.

I think Deconstruction is a great title.
Deconstruction of a Cheeseburger isn't quite as good.

aw, Im a little disappointed. Deconstruction of a Cheeseburger sounded so epic. Well, it's your baby, your call. If Deconstruction sounds more fitting, it is.

Perhaps the cheeseburger will be the disc picture? Like the coffee, with Ziltoid?

"Deconstruction"
Simple
Precise
Epic.
Let it be so.
