Which lyrics have had the biggest impact on you/ what parts do you sing all the time/ what's your favourite song lyrically/ what interpretations you have for the songs etc. etc.

I'm actually wondering if Devin sees himself as a good lyricist. I read him say that he's "written tons of stupid shit" in his lyrics, but hey! I think there are absolute gems to be found.

Color Your World + The Greys

to me, a couple of really really deep songs

If i say all the lyrics i sing and have a hughe impact in me and the ones with i feel identified i'll make you get bored, so i'll choose my favourite: Kingdom

There's a few songs on Physicist and Terria that really stand out for me. Tiny Tears, Kingdom, Planet Rain, Stagnant, Canada.
Not to say that there aren't songs on other albums with good lyrics, just that those stand out.

Planet Rain in particular, epic. I've never understood why Physicist is so unpopular with the fan base. To me it's just as strong as Ocean Machine, Terria, or Infinity.

Aaaah lyrics... I'm not really a lyrics person but I think Night is my favourite. I has associations with it.

Life, Thing Beyond Things, Nobody's Here.
But my all time favourite lyrics (and their delivery) is Storm.
Goosebumps everytime. No other song does that to me.

^Those are all definitely among the best.

But one great one that hasn't been mentioned is Solar Winds. Just beautiful.

Yeh Solar Winds is my fav, so very uplifting, and one of Devs best epics imo.

And of course DEADHEAD.

Not only for the lyrics, but the vocal delivery.

Oh gee. I'm not sure actually. A lot of them stand out for different reasons, to me, but the most recent for me is the song Disruptr, espeically the lyric:

"So what if it kills you, Oh be a man about it."

As strange as it sounds, that lyric came in a time where I was being really cowardly, and avoiding everything. So I kinda clung onto it to stop myself from being a coward. I did think about getting it tattooed, as I am always cowardly and flightly, but not suuure on that one.

Agreed completely.

Lyrics never mattered too much to me. It's more the sound of the vocals that I derive meaning from.

However "Night" is the most relevant lyrically to me. One of the few songs where lyrics actually matter to me.
