Yes he has. At some point he commented that writing film scores would be his favourite thing to do for a living.

Sorry, I should have phrased my question better.

Mr. Townsend, are you still considering writing film score? I think you would do a fantastic job. Your music is so visually evocative, emotional, and dramatically structured. A film score would give you a huge canvas to work with.

Anyway, I think it would be cool to go a movie, watch the credits, and see "Music by Devin Townsend".

Ah well, one can dream...
