I'm tired of waiting and reading pages and pages trying to find some hint about the other dates of the european tour or even a mention about southamerica... so I'll ask the Dev directly, hoping he reads this...

Hey Devy! Why don't you play Download this year? Are you planning to add some other UK dates around June? Why are you playing only festivals? and, the most important question, why don't you ever mention southamerica as a possibility for a tour?

I'm from Chile, and I know you must have heard we have some serious earthquakes down here but please don't worry, aftershocks are getting less frequent lately and they don't go beyond 4.5 Richter... so, nothing to worry about! :P
Besides, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru have the most intense metal audience on earth! You can ask Anneke, Dave Mustaine or the guys in Iron Maiden for better references... ;)

Well those are my questions. If Devy answers, cool! :D
But if some of you guys have some info regarding this questions please feel free to enlighten me... cheers!

....and don´t forget Costa Rica dude!!! We are a very small country, but I can asure you that we sound fucking awesome! People here LOVE the music just as any other country do, so please dev, take us in considerations for future tour dates, you won´t be dissapointed :)

BTW St_ Clean, hope everything gets right in chile, Suerte a todos.

I might be wrong but I think Devin doesn't have much of a say regarding where he tours. It has to be financially viable to do so.

We know that, but i think that it isn't so expensive to come here as it is going to australia, england... i might be very wrong but i think if he gets a good deal he can make it

I think the turnout in Europe or Australia would be much larger than in South America, and ticket prices might be a bit higher as well, so it would probably be more profitable.

I'm glad someone else said this. Comparisons to Iron Maiden aren't really applicable as much as I love Dev, he's not going to be selling out footie stadiums.

Ok....damn, let see, how much people, like in general, assist to a devin show? And what´s the normal price range of the tickets?

Dev if you're out there.. please answer! a simple "never gonna happen" will facilitate things, and we'll know we have to save money to watch your shows in other countries

As sad as it sounds, I know tours are 90% about the money and 10% about getting your music to your audience, at least on most cases. But when talking about a Devin Townsend show, let's be honest, he has player in very small places to not Roo many people so I dont see the real difference between 3 shows in some small venue in a state of usa and one big show for 2.000 people in a médium size venue here in Chile. Agua de Annique gathered 1.000 people with just one record and Anneke's background... If you consider Devy's bacground you'll have 3.000 people each nite during a South American tour... Aint that enough for a band that travels with no big stage or a shitload of equipement a la Kiss?

Seriously, you may think it is a waste of time and money, but it ain't... Promise! ;)

For sure...would love to go!

Have NEVER had an offer though...in 20 years. Waiting for Outerloop management to call me and say 'Lets do it'!!

Until then, the answer is 'I'd be happy to!'
