He was meant to be playing during this tour, but the way dates worked out meant that he had to be in Finland or something the next day, so it couldn't be done. From what I understand, this tour has sold very fast, so there should be another one coming up with Irish dates.

I've heard rumours of another tour later in the year, hopefully taking in Ireland, for now I'm just taking in the dates across the water

I believe I remember reading on here that he or someone in the band was mugged last time he was here? (which if I remember was with Godflesh's last performance in 2001 as an opener, I wouldn't mind being 5~ years older so that I might have found both earlier and seen that)

That was Mike Young... Tracy was the one who said that a few years ago.

The reason is two times they were victims of crime there. Mike Young was mugged the last time. I think that is a valid reason.

Myself and another Irish lad on here brought it up subsequently when there was talk of an Addicted tour and Dev replied and seemed to have totally forgotten anything negative so it's hopefully out of his mind. H from Dublin Metal Events said what Fnargl said above. They wanted to come here but couldn't pull it off cos they had to get to Finland and the fact that the shows sold so well on the tour this time around then they should be back before the year is out and Ireland will hopefully be on the cards then.

Well, not so rare in the US, but I got mugged in front of City Hall at 2 in the afternoon when I was 19.

Of course you can, but it seems to me that if you have been mugged before and you don't want it to happen again, and you have a choice in the matter, then avoiding the area in which you were violated makes sense. It may seem a bit extreme, but Dev is responsible for his crew, and I'm sure he'd just rather not take a chance in an area he's had problems in before.

He's obviously been damned lucky in the US. lol

There's been gun crime in Nottingham, but they're still coming to play tomorrow.

Yes, but not against Dev or his crew.

Bumping to say that if there is another tour for some time later in the year, I would love Ireland to be a stop on it. Not everyone can just up and leave to go to the uk all of a sudden, ya know :P
