Just saw Devin and Greg twitter each other on the possibility of working together...
I dunno if there are any dillinger escape plan fans here? But if there are, you'll know why I'm fucking excited over the thought of these two working together.
Both perfectionists. Both push themselves with what they do just as hard as anyone I know.
Hope it happens.

Count me in as hoping to see the two on the same record. Deconstruction, hopefully, considering Dev still has two or three tracks he hasn't announced guest details on yet. Greg's voice is pretty much the best I've ever heard it on Option Paralysis, and since that wasn't even a year ago... I have high hopes if he pops in on Decon. Hearing some Gold Teeth on a Bum style stuff from him be awesome... anything would be, though, if he contributed!

Dev on DEP could be better than Mike Patton on DEP. Imagine the craziness!
Please do it!

From Twitter
"Been uploading sessions to Jens all day while trying to get a mix to Greg, but keep spontaneously falling asleep :/ #burntthefuckout akk!"
Very cool

this album is going to be like a dream album for me.

Good God, how many people are on this?
Dev keeps saying how intense Decon will be, and now its intensity is just starting to become clear. Hyperbole in every sense of the word.

To make the point I want to make with this record, it has to be hyperbolic.

It's not by chance that the Patton EP with dillinger is one of the best albums of all time (and the last interesting thing Patton has done). Those dudes are amazing musicians and songwriters... Patton didn't write any (or very many) lyrics on that, but his voice, and the way he kinda plays a character when he sings made that a perfect match.
I can't even imagine what Townsend would do if he was given free-reign over dillingers music. If it was along the lines of 'Shitstorm' vocals (minus the silly angsty bit at the start) I'm pretty sure the world would explode.
It's insane that all my favourite musicians have come full circle... Patton, Dillinger (Gil Sharone is awesome), Townsend, Gojira. I love music.

The Greg thing seemed to happen so fast, like right at the last minute, the collaboration must have been quite spontaneous, look forward to hearing it.
