I just pre-ordered the $100 set, but the transaction was declined. Does CMdistro charge you immediately for pre-orders? I thought pre-order meant you wouldn't be charged until the release of the product.

Yeah, that's it - the only unknown is whether or not the vinyl it comes with is white or black; there's 250 of each color, for a total of 500 overall. So, my guess would be cmdistro is offering 250 of one color, and insideout will offer 250 of the other color... I'd also guess we won't know who's selling what until we have the packages in-hand, but I could be wrong.

So I cancelled with them and ordered from CM-Distro and saved $15.00. I've ordered Dev's last few releases through them and never had any problems, so knock wood. :D

Here's what I got:
Amazon wrote:Hello,

We're writing about the order you placed on October 30 2011. Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below has changed, and we need to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date:

Devin Townsend Project "Contain Us: Deluxe Box Set"
Estimated arrival date: January 20 2012 - February 09 2012

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this delay.

Once InsideOut give their nod, this one gets the flick.

I cancelled my Amazon order as well... Seeing as I don't have a lick of German and I bought it from amazon.de I could've saved myself so much hassle by just not bothering at all! I only had it pre-ordered for about three hours before these other things started cropping up.

I might just go for the CMDistro $80 one, save the hassle. Plus I wouldn't have any use for the vinyl.

That's rather disappointing... I thought the entire Tuska 2011 set was going to be on there, with Anneke van Giersbergen. The entire set WAS recorded, and there's a rough edit of "By Your Command" on Devy's Facebook, but it's not on that description, so... huh. Still getting the set and all, but I was hoping for a full setlist, from start to finish.

That's what I thought too. Maybe the description on Play isn't fully updated? Well, I'm hoping anyways :(

Holy shit those Dvd's are amazing! Just so much random fun stuff, I love it!

D'addario In Studio

These are the ones that are on youtube right? Hopefully they're uncensored.
I have NO idea how many times I've watched this:

Edit: At least I thought it was pretty amazing. xD
But I'm pretty easily pleased though. Just knowing that there are four full live shows
heading our way on DVD in the near-ish future makes up for anything not in this pack.

A little disappointed considering that I have seen a) the D-Addario videos, b) Deep Thoughts, c) The Poopynuggeteer videos, d) the Baltimore EP.

And why would you have the stems for the most uninteresting songs (production-wise)?

Off my high horse now. Looking forward to the production commentary.

Actually I'm guessing that the description off of Play is incomplete because of this description I have seen from a couple different websites including amazon
"2 DVDs with over 10 hours playing time (video and audio material)"

Juular is interesting as fuck.

Bend it Like Bender can be remixed like fuck.

Yeah I listened to Juular afterwards and realised how much stuff there is going on.
And Bender does have potential to become anything from a dance-pop song to lounge music (think about it).

It was just me doing my usual jumping to conclusions
