^Previous comments don't seem to have a high opinion of them (in terms of shipping) is all I'm saying. If I read wrong, then it's one avenue to consider.

I'll provide some insight to my experiences with CM Distro. First and foremost, I've never had a problem with lack of customer service in any way from CM Distro. When the Ghost/Decon preorder went up, I instantly put my money on the uber mega super awesome deluxe edition with the 2 discs, t-shirt, patch, etc. Later decided that the shirt didn't really appeal to me for the extra money and requested a modification to my order. It was done literally within hours of my request. Once again, I've never had any issues with their customer service. One place where I could see people getting peeved is the thought that a pre-order should be in the hands of the purchaser on the date of release, if not sooner. I can certainly understand a person's reason to have that desire fulfilled. However, I think it has been said before, that a preorder merely reserves a copy for you. Shipping times vary, customs can factor in, delays, yada yada. I'm in Canada and I've never received a pre-order from CM Distro on the date of release or before. It usually comes a week or two after. This does not bother me! I am happy to be getting all the wonderful extra shit :D even if it takes longer. So, after that somewhat long winded response, it really comes down to what you prefer.

Amazon seems to have the bare bones edition at a higher price.
CM may get it to you late, may not offer the best customer service, but you can get the extra stuff and it's cheaper.
InsideOut/O-Merch.... I'll bet it's coming, but in what form?

Good luck with your decision!

EDIT: I should also add that I did order the limited edition version of the box-set from CM!

I've bought everything released so far and multiple versions of many where different offers and packaging are available but this thread, for the one item a lot of us will really want, so far makes my head hurt.

The cmdistro one is different/exclusive to the others but people are saying not to order from there if from the UK....yet there currently is no other UK place to get it (ie InsideOut or own merch store) and even if there is there may be more/less/different stuff in the box? So even if we buy one we may still not have all the things/releases unless we buy another one from somewhere else, even though this will cost a fortune AND take an extra one out of the pool available for other fans to buy?

Why is buying an item so difficult these days? I have money and want to spend it on Devin's work yet it feels increasingly like hoop jumping rather than fun any more? It's not Mr D's fault and I fully realise that but am I the only one where the thrill of the chase feels more like frustration sometimes?

He's doing amazing to run all these things in one go at all but just thinking out loud, you know?

how is CM shifty? it's the official preorder.

i'm having trouble trying to figure out what "Rapture" is — i don't think it was ever mentioned when Dev posted tentative tracklists in the past (like "Dinosaurs" being in the running for both Ki and Addicted).

I can answer this - he posted on formspring a while back that there was a track he was planning to include on the box set called 'A Ziltodian Rapture'; it's basically Ziltoid giving a speech ala The Mighty Masturbator over some of the orchestral parts from Deconstruction. Also, I'll echo the sentiments of some other people here, and say I've never had any serious issues when ordering from cmdistro before. I'd say just take a leap of faith and put your order in, if you're happy with the price you're paying - you'll get your package one way or another eventually, so in the end I'd just say go for it.

...you know, throwing my $0.02 into the whole retailer thing, Devin should really get hooked up with these guys from the UK called Burning Shed. Fantastic, fantastic company; I order from them a lot (their stock just happens to be catered to a lot of my tastes, haha) and I get stuff from them quicker than I do from local outlets; IE, distributors in my own country! Prices are reasonable, customer service is fantastic (email inquires usually responded to with a day), and they have a reputation for the quality of their products. How Dev would ever get hooked up with them to distribute his merchandise, I don't know, but I think that'd be a great thing if he ever did... I think it'd eliminate a lot of the (understandable) headaches here, anyways.

I'm going to wait until it comes up on Omerch, if not just to get a sense of confidence that everything will turn out okay (and with very quick shipping!).

Box set will be available for Europe as well...just made a deal with the label who wasn't going to do it because of customs and shipping, but I lowered the packaging % on our contract for the box set and they agreed to eat the costs and make it available soon for Europe.

On another note...London shows in 2 days! Holy shit!!!
