I'm listening to it now. Crazy shit.
"Oh, and don't listen to it while having a flu..."

Just got Devlab, Infinity EP and Ass-Sordid I and II
All very nice indeed. I've actually done something a bit like Devlab myself years ago called The Visitor. That lasted about 40 minutes and was in two parts. So, being the egotistical maniac that I am, I instantly took a liking to it!! HA!
Sit in the Mountain is now my favourite Devy Song! Why did he leave that off Infinity???
Oooh it's gorrrrgeous!

Devlab is basically music to wet yourself to
I love what I've heard of it. very ambient dark noises and stuff.
It also reminds me of a short thing i did ages ago by layering voices and sounds in cool edit and reversing stuff. damn i love this stuff.
Can Dev actually do ANYTHING wrong?

Okay, I finally got the album, and here's my truth about it:
It's annoying. It makes it hard to concentrate. And it's LOUD! Overall, it's damn cool...
One more thing. If anyone else had made this, it would most definately have been labelled "c-r-a-p" by a majority of people (like yours truly). But this is Devin-freaking-Townsend, and that makes the whole thing strangely awsome. Because he's a likable person. And there is quality hidden in everything a loved one does. Even if he himself claims to just have fooled around with his new equipment.
Actually, no. If anyone else had made this, it wouldn't have been released at all. And that just adds to the coolness of the whole thing. This is an official - albeit limited - release from Hevydevy Recods! And this adds to the cult value of "Devin Townsend" and his/it's fans...

Can it be compared with Fantomas' Delirium Cordia?
Because I love that record, just one track of 50 minutes
just read my review on the previous page (12)
compared to DC? Totally!

Erm... I just ordered my copy of Devlab and thus haven't listened to it yet, but - excuse me if I'm dreaming this up - wasn't there talk of Devlab including a track where someone reads aloud the manual of a glue gun (?!?), accompanied by a brass section? Your reviews/descriptions so far mention nothing of such a track... or am I mixing things up?

This is correct. The opening track on Devlab features this strange 'hot melt glue gun' song. I seem to remember that it was a muck-about piece recorded for fun, where the people making the music are playing instruments they cant actually play. And the lyrics are read from the glue gun manual, yeah.
IMMMMMMMMMM GOoooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnaaaa meeelllttt you guyyyyyyyyyyyyssssssss
