Deep peace or Nobody's here perhaps?

Yeah, I'd say that something off Terria might work if done well.

I wonder if we'll get an Addicted preview like we did with Ki?

I like this video best.

REALLY love what they do at 2:32 with the guitar groove.

That was immense.
I could here someone with Dev's vocal range (do they exist, other than Dev?!) singing over that.

So,

I hate to be that one person, who is contrary to everyone else and looks like a jerk; but am I the only one who isn't so crazy about this cover? I haven't heard other songs of hers, and therefore can't speak on that - but this cover just doesn't do it for me :|

She has a very powerful voice, which is awesome. But I dunno, I really prefer the soft, hypnotic Devin vocals in Hyperdrive.

To each their own. I'm sure her performance on Addicted will be very welcome.

I'm with you on that, she took out the qualities that people love the song for.
Lol, she has a beautiful voice I like her music in general, but no I wasn't so crazy about it either.
Just cool to hear another take on it.

As for Addicted, more than welcome, think of all the things that she can to with that voice! I can definitely hear something great coming out of it. Addicted is gonna be sick!

Im pretty sure if we play some mic nights or what not I would play guitar and both she and I could both sing and she also plays piano too.. Any ideas???

The Complex. Turn it on its head.

Oh ok. *whew* I thought someone might burn me for saying that. Now I'm curious as to how she sounds on Addicted - she seems well loved here :)

yeah, i'm on that vibe too (as i said on like 10 other topics  ). But for Dev's description of Addicted, it'd fit. I think It's gonna be kind of a whole new song.

She made a melancholy song happy. If you're used to one, it can take a while to adjust. But no, no one will hold it against you if you don't like it ( :getout: )

Wait for the album, though. I'm sure Dev will do something magical with it.

What an interesting cover of Hyperdrive! Sometimes, its good to listen to some tunes that aren't as thick as the Dev's...cleanses the palette, keeps the mind and ears on their toes. Plus, that woman has an amazing set of pipes on her!

I don't show up for awhile, and then I find out there is going to be a female guest vocalist on Mr. Townsend's new album. I should make more of an effort to devote more of my life to this site... 8)
