Always wanted to hear a full on Elfman Industrial record.
The closest I've heard to the vibe I imagine from such a recording is the solo riffs in "Wrong Side"

The Synth sections behind the lines "say the word, and I'll be gone" are total Elfman.

Funny you say that, because it was "Wrong Side" that made me consider this as well, only for me it was the "Sooner or later the nights with the satyr..." part after the solos. Dev's voice even sounds a bit like Elfman there, IMO.

When I first heard the track I'd been harping on about the Elfman Industrial thing for ages, and he almost went there a little bit on some of the tracks for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

When the part I mentioned hit I was thinking "damn man, Dev is almost there with my idea".

Returning to Townsend-Patton collaboration - I wonder if those two talented gentlemen even know each other personally. I would like Mr Townsend himself to respond to that post (if it's possible of course). I know that Devin was influenced by FNM's "Angel Dust" (as he said in one of the interviews you can watch on youtube) but I still don't know if he ever met Patton, talked to Patton, considered a musical collaboration with him (:D). As I said before it would be a musical orgasm for sure and I would buy it no matter how high the price was.

I know this sounds different, but Dev collaborating with Andrea Corr on an Irish folky and vocal driven "Ki" style song would be great for me.

Dallas Green and Devin could make some beautiful music. Two very complimentary voices. It would be nice to see Devin approach something a little less "magnificent" and more stripped down, whilst keeping his core style. Justin King would be a great option too.
