A video album would be tight - something like a movie with a tightly-woven soundtrack done by Dev. Animal Collective did something recently called ODDSAC which is marvelous (albeit one hell of a drug trip), would love to see how Dev would write/direct something similar in application (with a more down-to-earth approach than what ODDSAC was, I'd presume).

Recently I've been appreciating the more industrial tracks of SYL quite a bit (well I already did, but now more than I used to), I'm talking about Japan, Monday and Centipede (and to a certain extent, Spirituality). I like how they sound industrial, rather heavy but with much less aggression than most Strapping songs, and still feel uh... warm, human, at least not cold, dehumanized. Japan for instance, the lyrics sound a bit sad I guess, but as the song develops it really grabs you in as some kind of anthem.
All that to say that I wouldn't mind a whole album of that kind (long tracks, atmospherics, with lot of repetition in a good way), though "electronic" doesn't really seems like it.
As for the Dev's future, no idea. He's always seem to put a lot of himself into his music, and now he may be writing differently and the music may sound different to some extent.
