The 6 string guitar I have now is 25.5" scale. If I were to get a 7 string guitar, would you recommend sticking with a 25.5" scale, or getting a 27" or even 30"? (Does the longer scale offer better tone or somethin'?) (< 7 string n00b alert)
How much extra should I expect Agile to add on for a custom guitar? (if anything at all...) (Even if it's just "This guitar, but with this finish instead")
(@ Dan, was yours a custom Agile?)
^ Basically, I love some of the finishes on the 8 string guitars on the website (mainly the natural/wood ones)... like this, but with 1 less string, would be perfect:
And what about buying from the UK - Would I get a freakin' customs charge added? I know the guitars are pretty cheap anyways, but I hate how it comes out of the blue. I once ordered a CD from the US, but when it arrived at my local post office, royal mail wanted me to pay them an extra £15 for customs before I could receive it. (That's more than the CD itself...) (I refused, and left it with them to send back to America, and bought it from somewhere else instead).
My 6 string Fender just aint cuttin' it for mah metulz anymoar. Need a new beast in my hands, for reinvigorated inspiration.
...maybe I should just get that 8 string... *ponders*
Depends what tuning you want to do. For just BEADGBE 7-string you're fine with a 25.5". I have a 6-string 28" and I can go down to F if I want. 28" might even be overkill, 27" should do it. I live in Norway and it didn't cost me a thing to get Agile over here, I just paid the total amount that the Agile website gave me. Fucking supercheap. I lurb Agile.
