In the cold light of day I'm actually now pleased at how things have worked out with one caveat.

The US only bundles, now that they have mysteriously dropped Ghost 2, are no longer attractive to me so I don't feel I'm missing out on anything.

The Euro bundle at insideout only includes a patch, which I'd never use, and a t-shirt which I prefer less than some of the standard ones at omerch so I can jettison the idea of that bundle too.

Really, then, it just came down to somewhere to get the 2CD's and their wrappings so I went with omerch as they were local. My only caveat is to ensure it's the same cd bundle but I hope to confirm that today and I can always cancel if not.


In some ways I find it refreshing that after all the stress yesterday my choice was led purely on the purchase of the actual albums.

I think the European bundle in question was the InsideOut 2CD / t-shirt / patch one. As far as I can tell, the 'ultimate' one is a US exclusive. A shame, as I imagine the 7" and download tracks would be a rather swish bonus. I'll probably just order my stuff from Omerch later now.

I just wish the bundle included two individual CDs, not Ghost and Deconstruction in one jewelcase. That's what 2CD implies, anyway, and if it is just one jewelcase, I'm assuming there will be less artwork and such.

Does anyone know more about this?

If you look at the one they have on InsideOut.DE, it looks like the bundle includes two individual jewel-case-inside-a-slipcover CDs with a wrap-around, so we should be getting everything you would get by ordering the discs individually.

This also makes sense from a manufacturing and costs perspective, why go through having to manufacture and print new artwork and covers and all when you can just grab one copy of Decon, one copy of Ghost, and slip them into a sleeve...

I've just sent an email to the omerch support with a pic of the double-slipcase-plus-wrap 2cd from other stores to check if that IS the same one they're selling. All helps people decide.

It's closed now but I'll let folks know on here the reply I get in the morning.

Sorry, that was a dead-end. Just spoke to them at omerch and they said that the image they have for the 2cd set (ie the logo from the wrap sleeve) is the only thing provided to them by the DTP 'merch team' who give them stuff to use. They have neither a proper item shot or a fuller description and are therefore as in the dark as us until the items turn up etc !!

So, to be fair to the omerch team, they're flying blind too and not of their choosing!

I went ahead and ordered the Deconstruction album art shirt from Omerch, and the Special bundle from CMDistro. Hope it's both albums in their slip cases... But, oh well, I want that vinyl.

$24.00 and Deconstruction and Ghost can be yours, nothing else. For $6 more, though, you could get a 7" single and those four Ghost 2 tracks... so unless you REALLY don't want the vinyl, the 'Super' bundle still seems to be the best deal if you just want the music, and no shirt.

Edit: AND they added both albums individually to pre-order as well...

Finally broke down and ordered the super duper deluxe extra gravy edition from cmdistro, for Ghost and Deconstruction.

I wish there were more details on "The Calm and the Storm" because id rather buy from the Omerch store. (cuz thats money that goes directly to Dev right?) If theres no super exclusive stuff on that 7' that we wont later get on the boxset (or that wont be ripped online anyway) then I dont need it. Also, I think most of us have Drench and Fall already, so youre really only paying for 2 exclusive tracks (which hopefully wont just be in mp3's.) But I digress, grateful for all the options, though hard to choose.

I've ordered that beautiful green Ghost shirt and Ghost cd from omerch but I am going to buy the super package from cdm. Provided of course us folks in the UK have been allowed to place orders yet. It says no european paypal until the 21st but can people in UK still buy and pay with credit/debit card? I am still confused on this point only.
