Best news ever. meself & the fella have hauled ourselves over to England 3 times in the last year to see himself; worth it every time! But on home turf is just so much nicer, and such a SMALL VENUE!!

Still don't understand the Turisas co-headlining slot at all. I shall probably spend that section at the bar. :P

Just seeing as it hasn't been posted already, the exact details for the Irish shows are:

Edit: MetalIreland had their info wrong... Dev's facebook says:

Belfast - Spring and Airbrake - November 7th
Dublin - The Academy - November 8th

Just checked out this here turisas and i'm a bit confused, very confused in fact. I hope this won't mean a strictly metal set. So who the hell are turasis and where did they come from? ha 'tis quite the random line up. Are they big? I think Devin'll be surprised at the turn out as long as it's advertised in his name and not Turasis. How do you even pronounce Turasis? Who are Turasis? Why are Turasis Turasis?......My excitement is bounded by a deep state of confusion.

Seriously though, what the hell? I can't see myself sitting through the Braveheart extras playing pirate metal. ha

Turisas are VERY big. They're a Finnish metal band (I've seen them sell out The Electric Ballroom, which is a 1,100 capacity venue before their second album even came out), and they're very much part of the folk metal scene. So if you listen to bands like Týr, Alestorm, Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Amorphis, Mägo de Oz (one of the first) and Ensiferum; then you'd KNOW who Turisas are.
The reason DTP have been put with Turisas is purely down to "Here's a metal band that needs to play here, and here's another metal band that needs to play here, let's put them on the same bill, bish-bash-bosh." Bands like DTP are very difficult to match up with other bands enough as it is, so having obscure supports/headliners/co-headliners is gonna happen.
Some buddies of mine are in a Flamenco-metal band, and there's only so many times you can play with Ill Niño. I've seen them with Fear Factory, Devil Driver, Savia, (again) Turisas, Deathstars, The Answer, Megadeth etc. and every single tour has left people scratching their heads thinking "...what.".

...and it's Tor-ee-sas.

I would have the name of this Flamenco-Metal band please. Sounds like my cup of tea.

Breed77, they're pretty good, although their first and second albums are their best-

Ah yes. I had one of their tracks on a Metal Hammer CD waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back. Come to think of it I believe "Love" was also a track on that CD.
I'll have to pay these guys some more attention.

For the show in the Academy the stage times are apparently Turisas from 7.30 – 8.45pm and then Dev from 9:15 on. Useful information if it's right. I was going to go and just tolerate my way through Turisas but with my health in terminal decline I really don't think I'll be up for their shite.
