What's that? Folk in London get a free gig to showcase some of the smaller bands on the bill? You're goddamn right you do!

Six weeks to go, folks!
Come down and help support the little guy. (The fest, not Dev :P )
The World really needs more events of this style.
£29.50 a ticket.
Ask me for any info on travel and hotels. It can be done cheaply!

30 quid for all that? pretty damn great, safe to say The Dev(tm) is worth the ticket alone.. pretty awesome his logo takes up a healthy portion of the flyer.. but slayer 2.0 are playing as well... Evile really are running up the ranks...

Worry not. Plenty of stuff to choose from. I'm not a massive Evile fan myself, although folk are comparing their new album to And Justice For All... rather than Seasons in the Abyss. May need a listen.
Can't see the times and pre-show info being far off.

Buy a ticket, support small promoters. No one wants a world where Live Nation rule supreme. Plus, if they were running Damnation we'd probably have the likes of Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour and Asking Alexandria playing.

If you don't live local and are stuck on ideas for a cheap stay, just ask. No one wants to spend much money these days. Even if the tickets are only £29.50.

slightly off Dev, but its a shame that the NEW evile gig is being likened to a classic metal album, why cant it be like 'the new evile album is composed of entirely new ideas and sounds nothing like anything ive heard before, its a pioneering album'..to bring out an album that sounds like something, its only really half marks in the creativity book...
and so the scene plays in my head - whilst they were writing the album in the studio.. one of the band members went 'wait this sounds like justice for all.... cool.' rather than 'what this sounds like justice for all.. lets change it cos justice has already been done'..'

theyve got the money and hopefully creative writing to bring out something new, exciting and fresh, yet there are album references already being bounced around that it sounds like justice? as a metal an, it scares me that albums have to be likened to something straight away without 1.fans making thier own minds up about things 2.how an album that has already has the label '''ooh this is like justice'... it defeats the point of bringing out a new, fresh album from brand new material... they might as well have just done a covers album..

but the fact that Dev albums are so original, excites me in a completely immersing way,.

Good on you for coming to the Camden gig. Even if we're trying to get people who haven't heard of the festival or haven't yet decided on going. :P
Still, spread the word, meet new folk and all that.

Aye, it's hard to find an original thrash band these days. Glad Coroner are back together. Damnation really could have done with some more thrash this year, but I'm not going to complain too much.

Please guys, if you've got two seconds, put this delightful link on your facebook pages:

If you tell two friends, and they tell two friends...then I wouldn't have to promote this thing. :P

Nice reminder for this page of the thread...

Looks like it's just you at the moment, pal. :P
Drag some of these other (lovely) bastards along.
C'mon all you last minuters! No idea what sales are like at the moment but facebook tells us there's been a nice wee surge since the last main pay days.

Also (I'll point this out again), this is Dev's only main headline show ahead of the four special shows. I can't even describe the state of my testicles while thinking what the set list could be.

Support the underdog and see some amazing bands along the way.

I know I keep saying this but pre-show plans and stage times aren't far off. I'll post them once they're up.

I know a couple people here are going but maybe they don't post so much. I'll just have to FB that shiz.

To everyone else : You'll likely never get to see GIAA, Godflesh, Ulver AND DTP in the same place... EMPTY YOUR WALLETS! If you don't know those bands... Listen to one song from each headlining band and tell me you don't want to hear more :p

Looks like Vicars Lane Travelodge has sold out...
You can still book into Leeds Central Travelodge, the eTap and there's apparently a rather swanky one not to far from Central. Cash flashers, moderate spenders and cheapskates are all catered for!

Today is brought to you by the letter Ulver.

I'm going!

Are there any hotels particularly close to the venue or train station that are reasonably priced? (£60ish) Or on the way between the two you would recommend?
I vaguely know my way around Leeds, but would be useful if everything was en route as opposed to going out the way.

Vicars Lane Travelodge is the main one. 10-15min walk from the venue.
I know I said it just sold out, but I also just bought my friends a room there. A room for the night should easily be less than £60. It'll only peak over £100 if you're staying for the pre-show as well as the main night.
Failing that, Leeds Centre Travelodge is only 0.4 miles away from Vicars Lane.

Vicars Lane is dead in the centre of Leeds. 10mins walk from the coach station and 15 from the train station.

Need to book my transport from London soon...
