That has to be one of the coolest sounding things you can study.
Play from your fucking heart.

I wish my friend hadn't just dropped out of college and gone back home.
Well I hope one of mine doesn't either, he is studying Astrophysics...so I doubt it because he fucking loves that topic.

What are peoples oppinions on 'Cradle of Filth' on here?
They were recently confirmed for Bloodstock Open Air, and im actually quite looking forward to seeing them.
I had a little phase of liking them a while back, but stopped listening to them much, but when i did play the occasional song it always re-hit a little spot
Thing is, they're a band that, although are rather big around the world, still have a lot of non-respect among the metal world. I can see why, but if you ignore the little things like that, they are a really good band. Dani's vocals are really unique, i've never heard anybody else pull off the howls/screeches that he does... and i think they work really well and add a real eerie dimension to the music.
I know there are a lot of non-metal listeners here, but there are also many who do listen to a lot of Death/Black metal like me, so i just wanted to find out some oppinions...

Not to mention his vocals are typically digitally re-worked. Multi-layered and distorted.

Can't see why this has to be a bad thing. Obviously there's no way he could sing live the same way but if it works on the record and sounds good? Go for it.
I don't listen to Cradle of filth and have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about
Edit: A random thought:
Having your friends hate the music you adore is as eye-opening as a that thing they used in clockwork orange.

Almost all of my friends hate the music I like. I have a few who genuinely agree with me, and we trade off band recommendations all the time. But for the most part almost all of my friends dont like what I do.

True dat. Hmmm... so that's the reason I haven't wanted to hang out with anyone in a long ass time *ponders*
Seems like the metal genre kind of comes with a stigma attached. And prog. metal? Fo'getaboutit. Might as well just walk around with 'nerd' written on your forehead.
