Besides the fact that Dev prefers us not to, it's also because I love the whole experience of waiting for the release date (a bit like Christmas for me), opening the CD, admiring the artwork, and listening to the album in my living room on my nice stereo with some candles lit and a couple glasses of wine. It's a total celebration of my favorite music, the way DTB intened it in all its glory.
Wow. I sound quite emotional about it really.
That is pretty much exactly what I plan to do!
I did the same when Alien came out. I had waited so long for it, so I made sure to savour the experience. I moved my big armchair right infront of my nice stereo and got some food and beer ready. I made sure I was totally comfy and ready to be absorbed.
And it was amazing! Well worth the wait.
I cannot wait for that moment...I'm torn between whether I want to sit and enjoy it in the dark with just the blue glow from my stereo, but I think I'd rather sit and examine the booklet...maybe turn the lights off after a while
This time I will be sure to only eat 'quiet' food. With Alien I was eating crisps, and that just made too much crunching. I think this time I will have a 3 course meal planned out....yeah.
