I'll definately be listening to the CD first, but I could understand a desire to prolong that moment a little longer and "save the best till last" sort of attitudes

 Actually exactly this happened when I bought the AE Special Edition including Project EKO the day it came out. The EKO CD was in the "normal" CD tray and I didn't notice it - until that strange ambient electronic music started and I was like, what the mutherfooking fook, where are the guitars and drums?

18 minutes later, the first deep C chord and bass drum kick blew me away and as soon as "Depth Charge" started full throttle and reminded me of "Night" from Ocean Machine, it was almost 1998 again - when I listened to Devin's solo material for the very first time. Ah, fond memories. :classic:

I'll probably watch the DVD first and after that, pop in the cd. It's one of the best moments in life to listen to a new SYL or Dev album for the first time :D

Hahahahaha! "spaceship peanut butter"

And I don't know why, but a classic metal epic just popped up in my sober (!) head: "Along with the sea creatures But they lived on, so did he"

Anyway, don't forget to deactivate the cookies after the listening experience...

I might not even touch the DVD for weeks, depending on how good and entertaining the CD is.

It's damn entertaining, don't you worry about that...

are there any actual songs from Synchestra performed on the DVD? Just wondering since they could've figured out the live arrangements for the new songs so soon.

Most of the new album seems pretty complex to perform live, especially Judgement and A Simple Lullaby.

I don't think so. The DVD was recorded in 2004 already and Synchestra was (almost) entirely written in 2005.
Still plenty of good songs left tho!
