My dumb DVD player which I inherited from my mum (nad ironically should be the best one I've ever owned in terms of brand and how much it cost) doesnt like the NTSC's and plays them grey (it's the only DVD player I've ever seen do that, lol) but nothing else has any problem with it
The drive on my computer wouldn't even read it. On my standalone it works, but every now and then the video freezes for a few seconds while the sound keeps going, and then is fine. My player is sort of old though.

I think (re: freezing) during the "Adventures of the DTB on the road" section that looks to be deliberate. A few pauses here and there for "dramatic effect". I thought it may have been my DVD drive as well, but it does the same thing at the same moments when watching it on either of my 2 DVD players.
I think it is an editing atifact.

Yeah, I think those are freeze frames and slo-mos.
Looping green and blue, and you will go letting yourself certainly the meal once again through the head. But after the departure, you feel free and happily like after your first orgasm - and you will beg for addition. - German review of SYL's "Alien"
Actually those freeze frames are a result of bong water wreaking havoc on my computer!
Thank god we were able to salvage that at the last possible minute as well so a little glitch here and there has to be overlooked considering the alternative would have been nothing?
I now have a mac so I can actually be able to do a lot better versions of these DTB adventures for future whatever.

You didn't have to admit to that, you know. You could have just said it was your creativity at work. We'd have bought that, you know. And, stop putting your bong next to the computer. Even Macs are not waterproof.
Ha, that reminds me, though. My friends and I used to have a saying. Whenever somebody did something very stupid and very bad we used to say, "He really drank the bong water there." As in when you tilt the bong too much and the water runs up and you get a mouthful of it. So, like when Dave ripped the top off the RV, he really drank the bong water on that one.

Without any other information to go on, my guess is the problem is actually the combination of that DVD player and your TV. NTSC uses a different colour system to PAL (as well as the different resolution and frame rate), but it's possible to output a 'hybrid' signal with the 'lines' of one system and the 'colours' of the other, to put it simply - some players do this and some don't, and it depends on how they're set up. The TV might require a hybrid signal (NTSC format with PAL colour system) where the player isn't outputting one, but you might be able to change it.
I think that's how it goes anyway. I'm not an expert. There's NTSC 4.43 and NTSC 3.58, referring to the modulation frequency in MHz of the colour carrier signal. Now I've confused myself. Somebody help.

To add to what Oscar just mentioned, it is possible that your DVD player will be able to play it if you change some settings.
With my original player I had the same problem initially, but it was resolved by going through the setup menus and selecting the PAL/NTSC output to 'auto'. See if your player has any such settings and try fiddling with them.
I think that player could either output to PAL or NTSC, so perhaps you can select it to always output PAL.
Anyway, have a look.

While that is true I could have lied, you will find that I am pretty honest about things. I am not really proud of those moments of stupidity but hey it makes me human and reminds me not to be dumb!

And by the way I wont put any liquid near my machine now, I am paranoid!
