Hehe indeed, I switched to Gentoo Linux a couple of months ago and although it took a while to get settled (and a decent Flash browser plugin!) I totally love it now :D

Although I'm not going to recommend just anyone to make the change, Linux is quite a lot harder to run than Windows. If you want to get rid of the threat of virii, adware, spyware, Firefox is a good start. ;)

perhaps i missed the context of the topic. but allow me to enlighten your poor and defective intelect, virii is the plural form for virus, for you see virus is a latin word, and the (aforementioned) plural form for words ending in -us (at least in most cases) is -ii.

there you go!

(and dont you mention it :D )

Since I installed "Trojan 6 Guard", "Spybot" and "Tiny Personal Firewall" and deactivated some critical useless Windows 2000 functions, my system works like a clockwork. :o

And yes, Firefox is mandatory.

Whoa.. I'd have to say I'm not 100% in love with your tone. Duh!!!!! I totally knew that. I took 3 years of Latin, hello. I am the one who used the LATIN WORD "VIRUS" in its plural form "VIRII" to begin with. And just because we english speakers say viruses doesn't mean we are right.

Dude seriously....Defective intellect?

I really am man enough to take an insult but for christ sakes I have to draw the line at accepting an insult from somebody running win95. Thats just sad man. If you need help installing WinME or something let me know.

You are like that monkey who - until the age of two - solves problems faster and is generally better suited for life than any human two year old. Then, the human learns by solving problems, overcoming obstacles and his natural disadvantages. Later, he puts that same monkey in a cage, from where it can throw shit at him, if it doesn't eat it itself first.

:D

Yes I am exactly like that, except when I dont have anyone to throw feces at, which really bums a monkey out by the way, I usually bide my time flogging my (disproportionally small) dolphin humming green day songs to myself. But other than that exactly the way you described.

Before you use a spyware i'm sure you should be able to go into your start register and chuck it out from there.

Dude I like your avatar, but you don't talk such shit to my Chilean friend! :P
- The fact that you're using Linux does not (I repeat not (I repeat not)) make you any better or smarter than a Windows using person. And vice versa.
- Neither does the fact that you've learned latin, who speaks latin these days (besides the pope)? And 9 out of 10 people know the plural of 'virus' is 'virii'.
- Why do you use the term 'sarcastically challenged' in your own posts if you can't recognize it when someone else uses sarcasm?
- You're better off with Windows 95 that ME. I'm not kidding.
- Or I could just fuck off

So, as Yanko hinted, on with the happy stuff :D We're all nice and sensible people aren't we. :speedo:

Okay here we go.....

Point one, never once stated I was smarter than anyone here just because I personally am grateful that I no longer have to worry about virii or spyware. If the way that I expressed it seemed dickish to you well then thats life.

Point two, anyone who speaks any European language speaks Latin to some degree, his holiness included. And maybe 9 out of 10 people where you live know that, but I live in Florida, and that is in the U.S. of A. Nine out of ten people here think Latin is some type of new fangled hip shaking music. I'm not kidding, either.

Point three, sarcasm is one thing; using a term to describe one's judgment of an intellect as "defective" is another. If I have been wrong to get upset over someone calling me stupid, well I apologize, I don't know what my stupid ass was thinking.
*slaps forehead*

Point four, Win95 does indeed have a fewer amount of problems than WinME, yes I agree. But thats because very few things will run on it to begin with, you'd still be better off with Linux in that case. :D

And point five, I say we both fuck off, you know for the sake of diplomacy.
