Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might have any links to torrents for live Pantera recordings circa 2000-2001? I am a big fan and have all their albums including Live 101 Proof, but I really really want something from the Reinventing Tour. I saw a crappy live recording on You Tube of 'Hellbound' and it blew me away, so now I have to get a bootleg recording of one of those shows. Does anyone know where I can get one? Any help will be hugely appreciated!!

Awesome dude. Thank you so much for posting the link. I'll be registering an account as soon as there's a space. Rock on!

James.

WTF? I thought that was a site dedicated to Dimebag, or something. It's pathetic. People say downloading isn't really hurting bands:

We are very sorry!

At the moment, there are at least 100,000 registered users at http://www.dimeadozen.org, the maximum allowed under DIME's current configuration.

However, free slots become available for new users daily as inactive accounts are deleted. When DIME has fewer than 100,000 registrants, new users can sign up. Please note that the statistics on DIME's web site are updated every ten minutes; therefore, you may see this message even if the web site reports fewer registered users than the maximum.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Yeah, I beg to differ.

You're right, downloading clearly does hurt bands. However, in this case I can justify it because I already own all of Pantera's albums on cd and because there will never be another Pantera record AND these are bootleg live recordings that I'm after after that will never be put on sale, I think it's perfectly reasonable to share the love with other Pantera fans around the world.

I bet there *will* be another Pantera record. Not new material perhaps, but it seems to be the way of the world that death demands some kind of new release these days.

Hey, I download stuff. Not completely against it, really. But I download rare stuff: a bonus track I'm not paying $40 for; old demos that were only released on cassette, or in extremely limited quantities, etc. Aside from extremely expensive imports, where the bonus material doesn't justify me buying the import version, I buy everything. Of course, I'm in the minority.

And I think there will be another Pantera release at some point. They have enough covers and such that appeared on soundtracks and whatnot, and I'm sure there are plenty of unreleased songs to justify one. Personally I really want Vinnie to remaster the first four albums and reissue them. They're some damn good 80s metal/rock albums, they deserve a re-release.

That'd be pretty interesting. From a purely business point of view, I'm sure they would make a lot more money off the re-releases of those albums than they did at the time. Something about post-humous releases always makes for good sales. But apart from that it's a great idea. I've never really heard that early stuff. There were a few bits and pieces played live on the Dimevision dvd which were awesome so I'm damned curious.

The early stuff is great. People call them glam, but really the music was pretty heavy. 80's rock and metal with great solos and double-bass, and some really catchy tunes. Great stuff. Their look was glam, but who's wasn't back then? Slayer wore striped fucking spandex back then! Hahaha.

I'd post a song or two from each album, but the moderaturds would probably delete the links.
