Funny how things change. When I got my first Mac around 1990 one of my Computer Department workmates scoffed "Macs! Oh they're alright if you want to play games! No good for serious work (except desktop publishing.)"

I wish I'd never installed games on mine through there...Can't get the family members off Warcraft or Age of Empires or Age of Mythology or whatever else is on their current favourite list. (Has anybody here played "Villagers"?)

You're Keeker's new best friend. She keeps chiding me to get a Mac.

Even I must admit they are far from perfect. Yet. But then on the new ones you can, if you want, run Windows and Linux alongside. Big enough HD and you can have 3 OSs in one box. I know somebody insane enough to do this.

yeah, if it's gonna lock up, at least you can kill a process successfully at almost all times, unlike windows :P

Trust me, if there was no endlessly refilling blue bar then you would have smashed your head off the desk repeatedly instead of watching the screen.

Yaarp.

damn you Microsoft! using your stupid blue bars to distract us and waste our time staring at a screen thinking something is happening, slowly turning us into zombies instead of allowing us to fulfill our desire of doing something more interesting while we wait.

I'm trying to decide whether I was sarchastic or not there =/.

One of the best things I've ever seen, was Windows running on Qemu. A virtual machine with windows, click the little "X" on the right top and Windows is gone!!! :D
