Just curious. I really enjoy a lot of the Queens of the Stone Age albums and was wondering if I should buy the new one, "Era Vulgaris." Josh Homme's stuff is pretty creative if you ask me. What do you guys think of QOTSA?

Thanks!

Only heard the one song, Sick Sick Sick, and really like it, so looking forward to checking the new album out.

Kyuss is the most important and best Stoner Rock Band that ever existed! :guitar:

I Love (capital L) Songs For The Deaf. But Lullabies to Paralyze was just boring, great disappointment. Era Vulgaris is even worse.

I haven't really heard the stuff before that little red album but something tells me QOTSA will never be as awesome as on Songs For The Deaf. And I'm completely at peace with that.

Love Songs for the Deaf but I haven't checked this one out yet.

I've heard some say it's better than the last one, some say it's not.

Lol, ok. I couldn't take it anymore and I went and bought it about an hour ago. It'll take me a while to absorb. Although it's not nearly as complicated as most of the music I like to listen to (i.e., Townsend, Dream Theater, Opeth), it still has a VERY dissonant overall sound. It seems okay so far. Killer grooves :D

I actually liked Lullabies to Paralyze. I thought it was really kinda spooky, but I'll agree it was boring at times for me as well. Hands down, though, I agree with Songs for the Deaf being their best album. Good call, Biert.

I'm really curious about Josh Homme's other projects...I was samping some Kyuss off of Amazon and liked what I heard. Are the Eagles of Death Metal any good?
