No, don't toss around my mango-toe! I need it for my mango-foot to do the mango-walk.

Movies?

Last thing I saw was "The Nightmare Before Christmas - 3D" - was awesome! I was really tired though and kind of dozed during it a bit, which was a bit scary when I woke up as things were all 3Dish.

Good stuff though. Hey, Biert, have you seen it? They mangle Christmas in it, which you might like.

Hot Fuzz.

Didn't get the chance to see it in the cinema.

Excellent!! I'll not go into details since I think it was covered earlier in this thread. Well worth seeing.

I Am Legend

I Am Booooooooooooooooooooooooring!

Nah, it was ok, just ok. I think you need to watch it in a cineplex, or just not bother.

I Am Legend...being a big fan of the book it was slightly dissapointing that they ignored the whole point, but if you can separate the film from the book, it was really good :)

I believe it was Transformers a few months ago. As expected - a piece of shit. Awesome CGI, though.

I've not read the book, so I might be safe. :)

Last movie was Mr. Bean something or other. The latest one. It was OK. NOT as good as the telly shows were.

Just recently saw I Am Legend as well. Really liked it, actually... Though I preferred the first half of the movie, really. Absolutely loved the daytime scenes in the deserted city.

I loved Will Smith's performance, too. Haven't seen him in this kind of role before, but he did a great job. Some parts really got to me.
Semi-spoilers, maybe, so smalllllll text:
Fellow dog lovers will know the bit I'm talking about
Loved the character's attempts to make himself feel less alone, too.

The infected could have looked better at times, but there were a few moments where they looked eerily human, like you'd expect them to say something or call out for help but then they just scream like an animal and start running. Rather unsettling feeling, that.

Really liked the movie overall. :)

Rescue Dawn.

Excellent movie and another stellar Christian Bale performance. Steve Zahn also did a great job. Loved it.

String Academy  :
...

Alien Vs Predator 2 :
Not as bad as I expected, far from anything remotely close to good though. There's always something trying to kill something else (quite often successfully) so you don't have much time to think of the scenario, or lack there of.
Many plot holes (the alien eveolves faster than ever, it's always been quite a mystery but this time in less than 10 minutes probably the little worm-like form of the predalien turns into a 8 feet tall beast, starts some mess in the predator spaceship still orbiting around the earth, the stupid pred shoots his gun at the predalien, misses him, but not the spaceship internals, the spaceship then doesn't explode like any damaged spaceship in space would do, no, it lands on earth... the facehuggers are lucky cuz' a dad and his son are just here 20 meters away from the crashed spaceship, after just seeing it passing in the sky and crashing like behind the next mountain, at about a whole day of walk...), some useless shots (staring at a van for 3 seconds for no reason, full vertical shot along the trunk of a tree, I mean, ok, it's a tree, happy now ? the predator is on top so lets hurry a bit please).
The predalien is useless, it's just a tougher alien with little scythe-like teeth around the mouth. Some gore (yay! let's kill babies and pregnant women!)
Still, enough entertaining.
