Naaaaah, not THAT kind of a plus :D
More like "as an extra point of interest for some female watchers"- kinda plus :D

I like mainly younger guys :?

Too limiting. The older ones have their attractions too you know. :eirlys:

Of course I didn't count you into that group, no!

And I actually had something to post, something that has to do with this thread :D
Because I saw

Planet Terror

I don't know if I like this or not.
I really don't :D
It was different, it amused me, it made me "EEEEWWW" few times, it made me want to see the heroes
get away from the bad that was chasing them.
I felt sorry when some characters died.
So I guess that means that I liked the film.

It was really different, that I can't point out too much.
I think this is one of the movies that you either love or hate.

My (not perhaps final) verdict is
8-/10

Opinions on this?

Planet Terror.

Hm. I loved it. It was part of that Grindhouse package. Death Proof being the other movie. It's annoying how they're selling them seperately..

For a "B movie on purpose" I don't think you can do any better. It was so cheesy, I couldn't stop laughing.

"I never miss". Haha, dork..

I read that book when I was a teenager... that's probably why I never want to see the movie. Ever.

3.10 to Yuma.

Very good. Lots of tense bits.

(PS I hope to go and see Iron Man either tomorrow or Monday.)

MST3K = Amazing.

Favorite episodes: Devil Fish, The Final Sacrifice, I Accuse My Parents.

Also, saw Iron Man today. Pretty badass. Hint: Stay around after the credits...you'll be glad you did.

1408.

They took the short story by Stephen King and made it into a full length movie. Well wasn't good idea IMO - would fit better as one of the episodes of "Twilight zone", it's just not enough material to make a longer movie off it.

Iron Man.

Enjoyed this hugely! Very entertaining indeed. Downey was excellent in his role and Jeff Bridges was wonderfully malevolent. My son was pipped because of the suit-getting-into scene, as he says it was 'lifted from Starcraft' (I know what he means, I've seen that bit.) However I actually thought that was almost beautifully done. Artistic. I also appreciated a later part that was a nod and a wink to Robocop.

I felt they got the tone right, not too cartoonish. It's not too self-absorbed, nor too much of the naval-gazing angst that you find in some of the recent super-hero movies. There's a nice build-up of the story. Plenty of action but they don't over-do it. It's quite a long movie but you don't notice.

My only complaint? Gwyneth Paltrow's shoes are stupid - the heels were so high she could only totter about in them. I winced every time I saw her try to go anywhere in a hurry.

We stayed right until after the credits because there's a little short bit of extra movie there that's worth taking in.

So yes, Go and see this!
